This review is from: Playtex Spill-Proof Cup Replacement Valves - Three packs of two (Health and Beauty) I've purchased these several times instead of buying new sippy cups. This filters are easier to clean than so many other cups with straws and multiple filter inserts. It has saved me money and helped the environment. The filters will last a good 6 months to 1 year, depending on how you clean them. I wash all of mine by hand but you could easily put them in the dishwasher. Like all sippy cup filters, if you use don't wash them promptly, especially after use with juice or milk, they can develop mold and have to be thrown out. I sometimes clean mine with a q tip or toothpick to make sure they are extra clean. I am just careful not to damage/enlarge the sip hole in the filter. This makes the filters/cups leak. I have three kids under age 5 and have tried ever type of sippy cup on the market. These are the best overall for not leaking, and the filters are definitely worth the price.
